Soul Artists Introduces Vaccination Tags
May 17, 2021 saw the start of Dubai’s trial period of re-opening entertainment venues, as long as all staff are vaccinated against CoVID-19. As ever, Soul Artists remained dedicated to supporting our performance artists and clients and by introducing an industry-first CoVID-19 vaccination badge for performers on the platform to help artists get identified as vaccinated and ready to work, while ensuring users get safe and legal live performances.
What Are The Provisions of the Re-Opening Trial?
Under the extendable trial, authorised by Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, various entertainment venues and events can operate if participants, guests and staff are fully vaccinated against the CoVID 19 virus. Whilst some venues can operate at 70% capacity, hotels can operate at 100% capacity. 2 meter social distancing and mask wearing is still mandatory.
Wedding events in venues and hotels can proceed with guest numbers capped at 100. Wedding events at home can host no more than 30 guests. All guests, entertainers and staff must be vaccinated.
Furthermore, permits will be granted for concerts and social or institutional events. Again, attendees, performers and staff must be vaccinated.
This is all very welcome news for performance artists who, like venues, have faced challenging times over the last 15 months.
What is the Soul Artists CoVid-19 Badge?
The vaccination badge can now be added to an artist’s profile verifying that they have been vaccinated against CoVID-19 and safe to perform at events.
It is only endorsed once proof of both doses for the vaccine has been uploaded to an artists’ profile. Once manually verified, the badge is added to the profile picture of the artist, making it easy for clients to identify an artist’s vaccination status.
How Can Users Find the CoVID-19 Badge?
Users will be able to see a blue (vaccinated) tag on each vaccinated artist while browsing www.soulartists.net or using the app.
A CoVID-19 vaccinated search option will be implemented to further support event creators sourcing talent now that they can re-open their doors.
The CoVID-19 badge for artists demonstrates the company’s commitment towards supporting our talent and clients, providing increased peace of mind and safety whilst abiding by the new regulations.
With venues being busy preparing and re-opening their doors, this simple tool will help the work flow and reduce any stress in finding entertainment.
